Adalanta Desert

  • Linear Location

WPD, 1100 Howell Mill Rd., Atlanta, GA, US (33°47'11"N 84°24'44"W)

Overview

It tells the story of the building the great Tehachapi Roadways that crossed the searing desert that covered many gwomes, including Atalanta and Ironinh and parts of Stoan Mountin. But with hospitality rare and far between, it was inevitable that momentous meetings would take place–from self-connection as with Iglesia Guitierrez to Nobunaga-Gaisen’s near fatal in consequence meeting with Alcibiades.

Access

It is downstairs at The Westside:

1198 Howell Mills Road
Atlanta, Georgia

You go through the archway to the right of Star Provisions/Bachanalia and into the courtyard and then downstairs. Look around that lower level of the courtyard.

Public Dedication

Was part of the Kymaerica Bus Tour that went from Adalanta to Athenz.

This was Kcymaerxthaere installation #014, the second in sGeorgia, and the thirteenth in what we call the United States.

Text of the Marker

The part of the story installed here:

Adalanta Desert

When the Tehachapi incised the Adalanta Desert with two great sphaltways, a settlement at their junction was inevitable. Martha Pelaski’s small trading post that became the great city was built here, grew fast, and saw many a fateful encounter. It was here that Nobunaga-gaisen swore to help Alcibiades, that poet Yhgffyueo IUFyr (pronounced like a falling tree) first heard the False Cognate spoken and the great explorer Iglesia Guitierrez first met the tormented Sfawm Chd who would naively betray her with her Kulver self—born a continent away.
